About the bean
Exportadora de Granos Mexicanos sources certified organic Arabica from smallholders in the El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve, Ángel Albino Corzo, Chiapas.
Founded in 2019 and working side by side with producers, this small Chiapas coffee exporter pairs field training with Oaxaca’s AgroClúster Cafés de Especialidad (a strategic alliance of producers, experts and organizations) so farming and processing keep climbing. Varieties such as Criollo, Bourbon, Caturra, and Maragogipe routinely cup 84 points and above.
This is the kind of Mexican lot that has become more difficult to obtain as demand for coffee in Mexico soars. These dense, even beans roast like a classic washed Central, needing only consistent heat and a little extra development after first crack to bloom the sweetness. In the cup, we have a warm and welcoming character—full-bodied in a French press, sweet and structured as an Americano, and a natural for espresso, where mild acidity meets dark-chocolate depth. A must for coffee lovers looking for a versatile, instant favourite with real origin integrity and a path toward fairer markets through the Mexican Council of Extraordinary Coffees (a private producers’ association that aims to put Mexican coffee on a stronger global footing).
