The Whisky Jury Agitator 7 Year Old 2018 Cask #17 Swedish Single Malt Whisky is a single-cask Swedish single malt from Agitator Distillery, independently bottled by The Whisky Jury. Distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2025 at seven years old, this release was matured in Cask #17, a first-fill Oloroso sherry hogshead. Bottled at 47.2% ABV, it combines Agitator's peated malt character with rich sherry-cask influence. The single cask produced 265 bottles.
Food Pairing: Smoked brisket, glazed pork belly, aged Gouda, roasted nuts, dark chocolate, fruitcake, and chocolate-orange desserts.
Tasting Notes: A rich, approachable peated Swedish malt balancing dried fruit and sherry sweetness with integrated smoke, warming spice and cocoa.
Nose: Raisins, plums and dark caramel with gentle smoke, clove, cocoa, orange peel and soft oak.
Palate: Dried fruit and toffee meet soft peat smoke, chocolate, clove and pepper, with a rounded sherry-driven character.
Finish: Medium to long, with lingering raisins, gentle smoke, warming spice and a lightly drying sherry character.
