Category	Coffee Equipment Precision Basket

Pesado high-extraction coffee basket has been specially designed to give you the most out of your espresso. With its unique design, it extracts significantly more dissolved materials from your beans, resulting in a richer, more flavorful cup of coffee.

Whether you're a coffee aficionado or just looking to up your coffee game, our high-extraction coffee basket is sure to take your espresso to the next level. It's perfect for achieving a higher extraction yield and unlocking the full potential of your coffee beans.

These coffee machine baskets are developed in 1.1mm stainless steel, CNC finished to be perfectly cylindrical and with laser cut holes at the bottom that expands in circles all the way to the outer edge of the bottom surface. The added thickness improves the rigidity of the puck during extraction by not allowing the bottom face to bow outwards and the laser-cut holes are extremely accurate and allow for a higher open surface area that offers less resistance to the water flow during the extraction.

Deisgned to hold 18g-20g

DOES NOT FIT IN SPOUTED OEM BREVILLE PORTAFILTER, NEEDS A BOTTOMLESS

Why is the Pesado HE basket better than other precision baskets:

The He[%] filter basket is produced using CNC machining and laser cut hole technology, VST or IMS baskets are a pressed product, and both hole and shape are created by press and polish machines.
Pesado He[%] basket uses 1.1mm thick steel and is perfectly cylindrical, while IMS/VST uses a thinner layer of steel and the top diameter is different from the bottom diameter.
Pesado He[%] coffee basket has an overall more significant amount of holes and open surface area compared to IMS and VST. The laser technology allows the holes of HE to be closer to the edges.

Commercial-Grade Extraction Engineering for Your Breville Breville's stock portafilter baskets are pressed products — functional, but limited in what they can extract. The Pesado He[%] High Extraction Basket for Breville 54mm machines is built to a fundamentally different standard. CNC machined to a perfectly cylindrical shape and laser-cut hole by hole from 1.1mm stainless steel, it extracts significantly more total dissolved solids from your grounds than pressed basket alternatives — unlocking flavour clarity and body that most Breville owners have never experienced from their machine. Sized for 18–20g doses, it's engineered for the 54mm group head across the full Breville home machine lineup.

Why He[%] Outperforms IMS and VST The Pesado He[%] basket is produced using CNC machining and laser-cut hole technology. VST and IMS baskets are pressed products, where both hole size and basket shape are created by press and polish machines. Here's what that difference means in practice:

Perfectly cylindrical — the He[%] maintains the same diameter from top to bottom, unlike pressed baskets where the top diameter differs from the bottom. This improves puck rigidity and consistency during extraction.
1.1mm steel — thicker than pressed alternatives, which prevents the basket base from bowing outward under extraction pressure — a common cause of inconsistent flow.
Laser-cut holes to the edge — the hole pattern expands in circles all the way to the outer rim of the basket base, maximising the open surface area and reducing flow resistance across the entire puck bed.
More holes, more open area — the He[%] has a significantly greater number of holes and total open surface area compared to IMS and VST equivalents, allowing higher extraction yield with less resistance.

Important Compatibility Note The Pesado He[%] 54mm basket is designed specifically for Pesado 54mm portafilters and is not compatible with Breville's stock spouted OEM portafilter. A Pesado bottomless (naked) portafilter is required for this basket to fit and function correctly. If you don't yet have a Pesado 54mm portafilter, see the Pesado Breville 54mm Hybrid Portafilter to complete your setup.
