Privada Storytelling
The W.A. Isle of Canines is the ninth installment in the Wes Anderson–inspired W.A. series, each cigar echoing the whimsy, precision, and charm of Anderson’s filmography. This release draws from Isle of Dogs, a story of loyalty, exile, and the fight for belonging — themes that find their way into the bold, layered character of the blend.
Crafted by AJ Fernández at his Tabacalera Annex factory in Estelí, this Nicaraguan puro is both playful and profound. Just as Anderson’s films balance meticulous design with unexpected humor, this cigar delivers a carefully structured smoking experience full of surprising flavor transitions. It’s a cinematic smoke, made to be savored scene by scene.
Flavor Journey
The first third opens with earthy spice, espresso, and cocoa powder, balanced by toasted almond and leather. Midway, bright citrus zest and subtle sweetness lift the profile, contrasting with red pepper heat. The final third deepens into roasted coffee, wood, and a lingering cocoa finish, leaving a bold yet balanced impression.
Why It Belongs in Privada
The W.A. Isle of Canines belongs in Privada because it exemplifies what the LCA is about — creativity, storytelling, and collaboration with master blenders like AJ Fernández. This is not just another cigar; it’s a collectible piece of the W.A. series, blending cinematic inspiration with tobacco artistry, ensuring each puff tells a story.
