Originating from the Central Coast region of California, USA, 'Vint' is the latest evolution of the Robert Mondavi Private Selection label. Robert Mondavi established his namesake winery in 1966 with the vision of creating California wines that could stand among the world's finest. This wine reflects his core philosophy that quality winemaking begins in the vineyard, combining time-honored traditions with modern techniques to produce a fruit-forward, approachable style.
Wine Description
Vint Chardonnay presents a bright golden-straw colour, often accented by a subtle greenish tinge. The nose is seductive and exotic, revealing layers of ripe pineapple, peach, and citrus fruits intertwined with notes of vanilla, toasted oak, and caramel. On the palate, the wine is powerful yet supple, offering a rich and creamy mouthfeel driven by partial malolactic fermentation and aging on the lees. Flavours of baked apple and tropical fruit are balanced by a refreshing acidity, leading to a long, smooth finish with hints of sweet baking spices.
Food Pairing
Pairs exceptionally well with roasted poultry, such as chicken or turkey with rosemary stuffing.
Complements rich seafood dishes, including grilled salmon, buttery shellfish, or roasted trout.
Enhances creamy pasta dishes like fettuccine Alfredo or white-sauce carbonara.
A perfect match to enhance the wine’s complexity when served with soft-ripened or medium-strong cheeses.
