Two Stacks Fruit Drops Apricot Brandy Cask Finish is a fruit-forward blended Irish whiskey from independent bonder Two Stacks. Built from a five-part blend of grain, pot still, malt and peated malt whiskeys, it is finished in American apricot brandy casks and bottled at 50% ABV. The finish layers ripe apricot and stone fruit over vanilla, honey and soft malt, with marzipan, toasted almond, citrus and gentle spice adding depth.
Food Pairing: Roast pork, Brie, Camembert, toasted almonds, peach cobbler, almond tart, or vanilla desserts with apricot and honey.
Tasting Notes: Bright and fruit-forward, combining ripe apricot and stone fruit with honey, vanilla, marzipan, toasted almond, citrus zest and gentle spice.
Nose: Juicy apricot and green apple lead into floral honey and vanilla, with soft malt and pastry-like sweetness underneath.
Palate: Smooth and richly fruity, developing ripe stone fruit alongside marzipan, toasted almond, citrus peel, malt and gentle spice.
Finish: Silky and fruity, with lingering apricot, citrus zest, almond, soft oak and gentle sweetness.
Serve: Enjoy neat, over ice, or in a highball with soda or grapefruit soda; its apricot character also works well in a Whiskey Sour.
