Wine Description
Tinhorn Creek Cabernet Franc presents a deep purple hue, indicative of its youthful vibrancy. On the nose, it offers aromas of black cherry, strawberry, and rhubarb pie, complemented by subtle notes of cocoa powder and pie crust. The palate is greeted with flavors of redcurrant and rhubarb, supported by fine tannins and bright acidity. This structure provides a tactile experience reminiscent of a well-crafted Chianti, yet showcases the fresh red fruit characteristics typical of New World wines.
Food Pairing
This full-bodied and robust Cabernet Franc pairs excellently with grilled steak, roast beef, rack of lamb, lamb shank, osso buco, and sharp cheddar cheese. These pairings enhance the wine's depth and character, creating a memorable dining experience.
