Macallan 12 Year Old Triple Cask is matured in three cask types: sherry-seasoned European oak, sherry-seasoned American oak and American ex-bourbon oak. It is the lightest of the Macallan 12s, with gingerbread, vanilla and citrus. This bottle is sold without a gift box.

Three casks
The Triple Cask range launched in 2018, replacing the Fine Oak range. It combines sherry-seasoned European and American oak with American ex-bourbon casks.
The whisky
The ex-bourbon casks bring vanilla and lightness, so the 12 Year Old is gentler than the Double Cask or Sherry Oak, with gingerbread, citrus and a light dried-fruit note.
How to enjoy it
A good aperitif dram, neat or with a little water. It also works well over ice or in a highball.
