Hailing from Italy's renowned Montalcino region in Tuscany, Terre Nere's Rosso di Montalcino is a testament to the Vallone family's dedication to authentic winemaking. Established in the late 1990s by Pasquale Vallone, a Sicilian banker with a passion for viticulture, the 15-hectare estate is situated near Castelnuovo dell'Abate, beneath the historic Castello della Velona. The vineyards benefit from mineral-rich soils shaped by the ancient Amiata volcano, contributing to the unique terroir of their wines.
Wine Description
This Rosso di Montalcino is crafted exclusively from 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes. It showcases a ruby red hue with garnet reflections. The bouquet reveals enticing aromas of cherry, violet, and hints of maraschino. On the palate, it offers elegance and harmony, with youthful yet high-quality tannins, balanced freshness, and a pleasantly fruity aftertaste.
Food Pairing
This wine pairs beautifully with pasta dishes featuring rich sauces, cured meats, and a variety of cheeses. Such combinations enhance the wine's depth and character, creating a memorable dining experience.
