Introduction
Produced in the prestigious Montalcino region of Tuscany, Italy, this wine is a classic expression of the land. Terralsole, meaning 'Land Toward the Sun', was founded in 1996 by Swiss born artist and entrepreneur Mario Bollag, who sought to blend his passions for art, music, and fine wine. The estate's winemaking philosophy is rooted in sustainable and organic practices, emphasizing high density planting and a meticulous 'micro-cru' approach that balances modern technology with a deep respect for traditional Montalcino terroir.
Wine Description
This 100% Sangiovese Grosso displays a rich, radiant profile with a soft red fruit core. The bouquet is complex and aromatic, featuring scents of pressed rose, black cherry, and wild berries intertwined with 'sun roasted' notes of spice, tobacco, and subtle mint. On the palate, the wine is full and fleshy, offering a silky texture and a harmonious balance of bursting fruit tones and delicate coffee nuances. It is supported by a solid tannic backbone and bright acidity, leading to a long, structured finish that showcases elegant hints of dried fruits like sultanas. While highly approachable now with aeration, this wine has the structure for continued evolution through 2026 and beyond.
