Sadaf Pomegranate Sour Paste Molasses is a 20 oz jar of concentrated, tangy-sweet pomegranate reduction used to add authentic Middle Eastern flavor to marinades, dressings, sauces, and stews.
This dense, glossy molasses is made following traditional regional methods to concentrate pomegranate juice into a syrupy paste that balances bright acidity with rounded sweetness. It’s a pantry staple for cooks who want to replicate Mediterranean and Middle Eastern profiles without sourcing fresh pomegranates or slow-reducing juice. Stored in a convenient pour-friendly bottle, the Sadaf molasses offers consistent texture and flavor so you can measure and add depth to recipes quickly.
How will Sadaf pomegranate paste change my marinades and glazes?
Adding pomegranate molasses introduces a layered acidity and fruity sweetness that glazes meats, vegetables, and tofu while helping caramelize surfaces during grilling and roasting. Its concentrated nature means a small amount goes a long way, intensifying flavor without watering down your sauce.
- Use 1–2 tablespoons per pound for marinades to tenderize and flavor.
- Brush diluted paste as a finishing glaze for char and shine.
- Combine with olive oil, garlic, and herbs for a balanced marinade.
Can I use this paste in salads, dressings, and cold sauces?
Yes—pomegranate molasses makes bright vinaigrettes and creamy dressings pop with tang. It blends smoothly into emulsions and pairs especially well with nut oils, yogurt, and citrus for layered, refreshing dressings.
- Whisk 1 part molasses with 3 parts oil for a quick vinaigrette.
- Mix into yogurt for a tart-sweet dip for vegetables or flatbreads.
- Combine with mustard and honey to create balanced dressings.
What traditional recipes benefit most from Sadaf pomegranate molasses?
This paste is a classic ingredient in many Levantine and Persian dishes where fruity tang is essential. It works well in stews, rice dressings, braised vegetables, and sauces that require long-simmered depth or a bright finishing note.
- Add to stews or braises for deeper savory-sweet complexity.
- Stir into pilafs or grain bowls for subtle fruitiness.
- Use in classic dishes like fesenjan-inspired sauces or muhammara blends.
How should I store and measure the paste for everyday use?
Keep the bottle sealed in a cool, dark pantry after opening to preserve flavor and color; refrigeration can extend freshness but may thicken the paste. Because the molasses is concentrated, measure carefully—start with small amounts and adjust to taste.
- Store upright in a cool, dark place away from heat.
- Spoon or pour small portions; warm briefly to loosen if thickened.
- Shake or stir before use to ensure even consistency.
Who is this for: Sadaf Pomegranate Sour Paste Molasses is ideal for home cooks, professional chefs, and adventurous food lovers seeking authentic Middle Eastern accents without complex prep.
