The Remus Repeal Reserve Series VII Bourbon is a straight bourbon whiskey from the United States, produced in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. It is crafted at the Ross & Squibb Distillery, formerly known as MGP, which is the oldest distillery in Indiana. The brand's namesake, George Remus, was a Prohibition era figure who acquired W.P. Squibb & Co. due to its high-quality reputation, a tradition that the distillery aims to continue.
Whiskey Description
The nose leads with notes of caramelized pecans, candied cherry, and maple syrup, with secondary hints of rye-forward spice, rich caramel, vanilla, and dusty oak. The taste delivers rich caramel, maple, candied raisin, and candied cherry, leading to a body of barrel char and rich cinnamon. The mouthfeel is often described as thick or buttery, though sometimes thin. It is round, perfectly balanced, and warming.
