Whisky Advocate Score: 94, #12 on the Top 20 Whiskies of 2022 List
This alluringly dark and rich scotch has both smoke and tea on the nose, along with hints of the ocean. A sip brings back memories of sitting by a campfire on a cool night, the sky covered by a blanket of stars. The smoke is prominent but not overpowering on the palate, joined by hickory wood, chocolate-covered peanuts, and earth. The finish is long and big, with that kiss of smoke. A Speyside scotch that begs for a cigar as a pairing partner.
