Bottled at 60.2% ABV, Batch No.2 of Rare Character's Limited Release Straight Rye arrives at full strength, with nothing held back from the grain. The uncut proof pushes rye spice and black pepper forward, backed by oak, vanilla and caramel in a 750 ml bottle.
As a straight rye whiskey, it has spent a minimum of two years in barrel, and that time shows in the density of flavor and the long, warming finish. It's a whiskey built for drinkers who want rye character delivered at its most concentrated.
