Prima Pietra Toscana Rosso 2020 is an elegant red wine crafted from the highest vineyard on Tuscany’s coastal area. This wine, produced by Tenuta Prima Pietra, embodies the region’s dedication to excellence and its affinity for Bordeaux grape varieties.
Vineyard and Terroir
Situated at an altitude of 450 meters, the vineyard benefits from a mix of clay and rocky soils and the influence of the nearby Tyrrhenian Sea. These conditions contribute to the wine’s vibrant acidity, refined tannins, and complex aromatic profile.
Winemaking Process
Prima Pietra 2020 is a meticulous blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot. The grapes are hand-harvested, vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, and aged in French oak barrels, of which 50% are new, for 18 months. This process enhances the wine’s structure and imparts subtle oak nuances.
