Planteray Single Cask Barbados 6 Year Old Rum is a 2020 single cask release from West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados. It spent four tropical years in ex-bourbon casks, one year in Ferrand casks, then a final year in a Calvados cask, and is bottled at 41.3% ABV. Explore more Plantation and Planteray rums.
The nose offers milk chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, candied fruit and fresh wood. The palate brings caramelized apple, warm spice, cocoa and a whisper of smoke, then a finish of vanilla and pear brandy.
Taste it neat first to catch the apple from the cask, then try one ice cube. A treat for collectors and brandy drinkers curious about aged rum.
