Pierre de Segonzac XO Reserve 15 Year Old Cognac is a mature Grande Champagne Cognac from the family-run Pierre de Segonzac estate. Aged for 15 years, this XO develops considerable aromatic depth while retaining freshness and liveliness, bringing together ripe fruit, candied citrus, cocoa, chocolate and refined woody notes in an elegant, persistent style. The producer's current range identifies XO Reserve as its 15-year-old expression.
Food Pairing: Dark chocolate tart, orange-infused desserts, roasted hazelnuts, aged Comte, dried apricots, caramelized peaches, almond pastries, and rich fruit cake.
Tasting Notes: Deep amber in color with a fresh, lively and refined profile, combining candied citrus, ripe fruit, cocoa, chocolate and delicate mature wood.
Nose: Complex aromas of banana, cocoa, candied orange and dried apricot, complemented by delicate woody notes.
Palate: Fresh and lively with expressive orange and chocolate flavors, showing refined texture and mature aromatic depth.
Finish: Long and elegant with lingering cinnamon, coconut and white peach.
Serve: Best enjoyed neat in a tulip-shaped Cognac glass, allowing several minutes for its mature fruit, citrus and oak aromas to develop.
