Tasting notes: Orange, Blueberry, Toffee
Finca El Potrero Paraiso is a washed Guatemalan coffee from Alotenango, produced on a farm managed by Josué Morales and agronomist Loyren Orozco. Orange, blueberry, and toffee form a sweet, structured cup, while this lot marks the first Paraíso coffee cultivated in Guatemala.
Finca El Potrero uses pine and native-tree shade, and Los Volcanes Coffee has focused on soil health by returning coffee pulp and organic matter to the land. The Paraíso planting grew from a long project to introduce Brazilian genetics, making this first seven-bag lot an important step in the farm's varietal trials.
