NOW Foods Virgin Coconut Oil softgels deliver cold-pressed, unrefined coconut oil in a convenient 1000 mg softgel — 120 softgels per bottle.
Virgin coconut oil has a long history of culinary and traditional use across Asia, Africa and Pacific Islands. NOW Foods captures the oil’s natural profile by using cold-press extraction without solvents, packaging the unrefined oil into easy-to-swallow softgels so you can incorporate coconut oil into your daily routine without measuring or mess.
How is this coconut oil processed and why does that matter?
NOW uses a cold-press method and does not use solvents, preserving the oil’s natural composition and color variations that occur in whole-food ingredients. Because it’s unrefined, the softgels retain the characteristic medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) profile found in virgin coconut oil.
- Cold-pressed extraction preserves natural compounds.
- No solvents used during manufacturing.
- Unrefined oil may show natural color differences.
What does each softgel provide and how do I take it?
Each softgel supplies 1000 mg of virgin coconut oil, rich in triglycerides such as lauric acid (C12) and caprylic acid (C8). The label recommends taking three softgels daily with food, and storage below about 78°F (26°C) may cause the oil to solidify.
- Serving suggestion: 3 softgels per day with meals.
- 1000 mg coconut oil per softgel for straightforward dosing.
- May solidify if stored at cooler temperatures — normal for coconut oil.
What certifications and quality controls does NOW Foods follow?
NOW Foods produces these softgels in facilities held to Good Manufacturing Practices and tests products in ISO/IEC accredited in-house labs. The product carries multiple certifications and allergen declarations to help you decide if it fits your dietary needs.
- GMP quality assurance with third-party auditing.
- Halal and Kosher certified; Non-GMO, soy-free, dairy-free, egg-free.
- Made without gluten; contains gelatin in the softgel capsule.
How can I use these softgels in everyday life?
Softgels provide a portable, pre-measured way to add coconut oil to your routine without cooking or spoons. They’re handy for travel, busy mornings, or anyone who prefers a capsule form over liquid oils.
- Easy to take with meals or on-the-go.
- No refrigeration needed; store in a cool, dry place.
- Offers a consistent dose compared with spooning liquid oil.
Who is this for? NOW Foods Virgin Coconut Oil 1000 mg softgels suit people who want a standardized, solvent-free form of virgin coconut oil without handling liquid oil. It’s appropriate for consumers seeking an MCT-rich oil in capsule form, those with dietary restrictions addressed by the product’s certifications, and anyone who prefers convenient softgels over measuring spoonfuls. As with any dietary product, consult your healthcare advisor if you have specific health conditions or concerns before adding a new supplement to your regimen.
