New Orleans Roast Bourbon Pecan Pie is a 12 oz ground coffee that delivers a medium-bodied cup with buttery pecan sweetness and a hint of bourbon-like warmth.
Blending New Orleans coffee tradition with dessert-inspired flavoring, this ready-to-brew ground coffee offers an approachable way to add nutty, sweet notes to your daily cup. Roasted by New Orleans Roast, a small-batch roaster from the Faubourg Marigny near the French Quarter, this product comes pre-ground for use in drip machines, pour-over setups, or other household brewers. It’s designed for people who want a flavored coffee experience without changing their brewing routine.
What does Bourbon Pecan Pie flavor actually taste like in the cup?
The profile leans medium-bodied with pronounced sweet and buttery pecan tones and a subtle bourbon-like finish that doesn’t overpower. It’s meant to evoke dessert characteristics while remaining coffee-forward so you still taste roast and body.
- Sweet, caramelized top notes reminiscent of baked pecans
- Buttery mouthfeel and rounded midpalate
- Light bourbon warmth on the finish—aromatic rather than alcoholic
- Medium body that works black or with milk
How should I brew this ground coffee for best results?
This product is pre-ground for convenience; use your preferred drip brewer, pour-over, or automatic machine and follow package instructions for ratios. Adjust the coffee-to-water proportion to taste—use slightly more for a richer dessert-style cup, or less for a milder sip.
- Standard starting ratio: about 1 to 16 (coffee to water) and tweak from there
- Use fresh, filtered water heated to just off-boil for optimal extraction
- Let drip and rest briefly to allow flavors to open before serving
- Enjoy black to highlight notes, or add milk/sweetener to customize
Is this coffee ground or whole bean, and what size is the package?
This is a ground coffee offered in a 12-ounce package, clearly labeled so you can compare it with other formats. The ready-to-brew grind saves time and fits most household and office brewers without requiring a grinder.
- Format: pre-ground for convenience
- Net weight: 12 oz (340 g)
- Packaged to suit drip machines and manual brewing methods
- Ideal for rotation with other flavored or core Arabica offerings
What is the origin and roasting approach behind New Orleans Roast?
New Orleans Roast started in 2008 in the Faubourg Marigny district near the French Quarter and focuses on small-batch roasting and 100% Arabica beans. Their approach emphasizes regional character—bringing a New Orleans perspective to flavor and roast profile while producing accessible, consistent coffee blends and flavored varieties.
- Small-batch roast style for attention to each lot
- Core line emphasizes 100% Arabica beans
- Flavoring applied to highlight dessert-inspired notes without masking the base coffee
- Roasted in-house with an eye toward balance and drinkability
Who is this for? If you enjoy dessert-style flavored coffees that are ready to brew and pair well with morning pastries or an afternoon treat, New Orleans Roast Bourbon Pecan Pie ground coffee suits you. It’s a good match for drinkers who like a sweeter, nut-forward profile but still want to taste real coffee body and crema. Ideal for home brewers, office kitchens, and anyone building a seasonal or flavor-rotation collection without needing a grinder.
