Mollydooker Wines was founded in March 2006 by Sarah and Sparky Marquis. The name 'Mollydooker' is an Aussie slang term for a 'left-hander', a fitting choice as both founders are left-handed. The winery is driven by the philosophy, 'We make wines that make people go WOW, through attention to detail and commitment to excellence'.
Wine Description
This 2023 vintage is described as fragrant and silky smooth. It offers a nose full of cherries and forest fruits. The palate opens with fresh plum and sweet berries, followed by a gentle hint of nutmeg and cinnamon spice.
Food Pairing
Suggested pairings for this Merlot, which exhibits rich plum and berry fruit with spice notes, include duck confit, various mushroom dishes, herb-crusted pork, or soft ripened cheeses like brie. It is also suggested to pair well with beef, deer, or lamb.
