This vibrant white wine originates from the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada. Mission Hill Family Estate was founded by Anthony von Mandl in 1981 and was recently named 'Winery of the Year' for a record sixth time at the 2025 WineAlign National Wine Awards of Canada. The winery's philosophy is rooted in a deep commitment to terroir-driven expressions and sustainable farming, utilizing the diverse microclimates of the valley's ancient glacial soils to produce wines of significant depth and character.
Wine Description
The Mission Hill Reserve Pinot Gris presents a crisp and clean profile typical of the estate's high-altitude and benchland vineyards. The sensory profile is aromatic and bright, featuring a nose of white peach, melon, and citrus complemented by subtle notes of almond and soft baking spices. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and structured, showcasing juicy flavours of green apple, pear, and stone fruit balanced by a refreshing, zesty acidity. It is characterized by a smooth, creamy texture derived from a small portion of the wine undergoing delicate aging on its lees in French oak. This 100% Pinot Gris typically has an ABV of 13.5% and is produced as a certified organic product.
