Millton Clos de Ste. Anne Chardonnay epitomizes the excellence of New Zealand's winemaking, particularly in the Gisborne region. Crafted by Millton Vineyards, this Chardonnay reflects the estate's commitment to organic and biodynamic principles, ensuring minimal intervention and maximum expression of terroir. The wine is sourced from the Clos de Ste. Anne vineyard, where meticulously tended vines grow in limestone-rich soils, contributing to the wine's unique character. Hand-harvested grapes undergo gentle pressing and fermentation in French oak barrels, followed by extended aging on lees to enhance complexity and texture. In the glass, Millton Clos de Ste. Anne Chardonnay exhibits a brilliant golden hue, with enticing aromas of ripe stone fruits, citrus blossom, and hints of toasted hazelnuts. On the palate, it offers a rich and textured mouthfeel, with flavors of peach, nectarine, and lemon zest, underscored by subtle oak spice and minerality. This Chardonnay strikes a perfect balance between opulence and freshness, with vibrant acidity providing structure and longevity. The wine culminates in a lingering finish, leaving impressions of elegance and finesse. Millton Clos de Ste. Anne Chardonnay is a versatile wine that pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes, from seafood and poultry to creamy pasta and risotto. Whether enjoyed upon release or after cellaring, it represents the pinnacle of New Zealand Chardonnay, showcasing the unparalleled craftsmanship of Millton Vineyards.
