Millstone Peated PX Single Cask Canadian Release 4 is a Dutch peated single malt whisky from Zuidam Distillers, bottled as an individual single-cask release at 53.93% ABV. Matured in a Pedro Ximénez sherry cask, it combines robust peat smoke with the intensely rich dried-fruit sweetness associated with PX maturation, creating a powerful interplay of smoke, dark fruit, chocolate, spice and oak.
Food Pairing: Pair with smoked brisket, barbecued beef, blue cheese, roasted nuts, dark chocolate or rich dried-fruit desserts.
Tasting Notes: Rich and full-bodied, with smoky peat layered over dried figs, raisins, dark chocolate, caramel, warming spice and sweet sherry character.
Nose: Peat smoke leads into dried figs, raisins, dark caramel and cocoa, supported by toasted oak and warming spice.
Palate: Full-bodied and richly textured, showing smoked malt, dark chocolate, dried fruit, molasses and clove alongside earthy peat and sweet PX richness.
Finish: Long and warming, with lingering smoke, dark-fruit sweetness, oak and spice.
