This wine is a blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay grapes, with a typical composition being 50% of each varietal. It has a deep red colour with an attractive bouquet and purple highlights. On the palate, it has a crunchy texture with notes of ripe, red berries, such as raspberry and redcurrant. It's described as a supple, elegant wine with fine, delicate tannins. The wine should be served between 16–18°C.
Vintage Quality
The 2024 vintage in Burgundy is considered to be of good quality. The late harvest required meticulous sorting, and a sunny spell in September allowed the grapes to reach good ripeness. The red wines from this vintage are noted for being aromatic, indulgent, and having a rich concentration of fruit. The finesse and elegance of the wines demonstrate the winemakers' skill in adapting to the year's challenges.
Food Pairing
This wine's flavor profile and structure make it a great match for a variety of dishes. It pairs well with light meats or poultry, such as chicken, turkey, and duck. It can also be paired with dishes like pasta with tomato sauce, steamed vegetables, and even some fish dishes for red wine enthusiasts.
A perfect match to enhance the wine's complexity.
