Tami's Peppermint Cream is a sweet cream moonshine liqueur from Marcotte Distilling in Philomath, Oregon. Joe and Janelle Marcotte opened the distillery's storefront in 2018. This flavor is named after a dear friend of Janelle's. The family counts it among their favorite creations. It is bottled at 34 proof, or 17% ABV.
As the name promises, peppermint and sweet cream lead the way. The mint feels cool and fresh. The cream softens it and adds a gentle sweetness. The texture is smooth and easy to sip, and a light peppermint note stays after each taste.
Marcotte suggests stirring it into your morning coffee or a mug of hot chocolate. It is also lovely sipped over ice. Keep a bottle around for the holidays, though it works any time you want a minty treat.
Serve it with brownies, chocolate desserts or a plate of peppermint bark. A splash in warm cocoa makes a cozy nightcap on a cold evening.
You'll enjoy this one if you like mint chocolate or candy cane flavors with a creamy edge. If you prefer dry, spirit-forward drinks, look elsewhere on the shelf. For everyone else, it's a sweet way to end the day.
