Idi di Marzo Passionale Cuvée Privata 2019 is a bold, distinctive, and daring organic Italian red blend crafted to deliver exceptional depth and smooth elegance. Displaying an impenetrable ruby-red hue, it opens with an intense bouquet of cooked plums, dried herbs, Turkish delight, and fresh earth, intertwined with decadent layers of dark chocolate, blackberry, and currant. On the palate, this full-bodied, warm wine showcases a velvety texture with rich flavors of black cherry cola and mocha. Its fine, well-integrated tannins are enhanced by subtle hints of tobacco and black pepper, culminating in a long, polished, and beautifully balanced finish.

Food Pairing: This powerful red pairs exceptionally well with main courses of braised beef, slow-cooked lamb, rich pasta dishes, barbecued meats, and aged blue-veined cheeses.

93 Points - James Suckling

A distinctive, even rather daring blend of montepulciano, primitivo and negroamaro here. The nose gives you cooked plums, dried herbs, turkish delight and fresh earth, which increase in intensity on the palate and provide a long, tasty finish, largely unimpeded by the fine, integrated tannins. It works and is already drinking well, but will be even better with a little bottle age. Best from 2023.

92 Points - Wine Enthusiast

An earthy and umami on the nose surprises as tart, almost fizzy aromas of black cherry cola and blackberries spring forward. The palate brings more blackberries and a soothing splash of mocha, flowing over more earth tones and a pinch of salt and pepper for texture.
