Introduction:
Glendalough Double Barrel Irish Whiskey is a refined small-batch whiskey that reflects Ireland’s rich distilling tradition. Aged first in ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in Oloroso sherry casks, it delivers a perfect harmony of sweetness, spice, and oak complexity.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Aromas of caramel, vanilla, and honey intertwined with dried fruit, nutmeg, and warm oak.
Palate: Smooth and balanced with flavors of butterscotch, dried figs, and baking spice complemented by hints of chocolate and sherry sweetness.
Finish: Long and elegant with lingering notes of spice, fruit, and toasted oak.
Pairings:
Glendalough Double Barrel Irish Whiskey pairs beautifully with roasted nuts, dark chocolate, and aged cheeses. It’s best enjoyed neat or on the rocks, and also makes an excellent base for elevated whiskey cocktails like an Old Fashioned or Irish Sour.
