Our biggest-bodied cup. A Sumatra Robusta dark roast that is deep, earthy, and heavy in the mug, with none of the burnt edge.
If you like Sumatra coffee for its heavy, earthy body, Galaxy is built for you.
The rundown:
- Origin: Sumatra Robusta blend
- Roast level: Dark
- Tastes like: Deep earthy Sumatran body, heavy and low acid
- Bitter? No, we roast it smooth, never bitter
- Acidic? No, low acid and easy on the stomach
- Why this one: The heaviest cup we make. For dark roast drinkers who want body, not char. The Robusta brings extra caffeine along with it.
- Brews with: Drip, pour-over, French press, or cold brew
Why it's called Galaxy:
The C-5 Galaxy is the biggest aircraft the Air Force has ever flown. The nose swings open so you can drive straight through it. It kneels on its landing gear to drop the deck to truck height. It hauls tanks, helicopters, and on a bad day, other aircraft. It was never the fastest thing on the ramp and nobody ever called it graceful. It just moved what nothing else could move.
