The Felipe Gregorio Cigars Minotaur is a cigar built around complexity, balance, and evolution. From the moment it is removed from the humidor, the closed-foot presentation immediately sets it apart, creating a concentrated and flavorful opening that allows the smoker to experience the wrapper's character before the filler tobaccos fully engage. It is a cigar that rewards attention, revealing layers of flavor rather than overwhelming the palate with raw strength.
At its core, the Minotaur delivers a rich earthy foundation that serves as the backbone of the smoking experience. Notes of aged leather emerge early, providing depth and texture while intertwining with subtle citrus undertones that brighten the profile and create contrast against the darker flavors. As the cigar progresses, delicate hints of nutmeg begin to develop, introducing a warm spice that enhances the blend without becoming overpowering.
One of the most intriguing aspects of the Minotaur is its ability to transition smoothly between flavor profiles. Toasted almond notes weave throughout the smoke, adding a creamy nuttiness that complements the earth and spice while contributing to a refined, luxurious mouthfeel. The balance between these components creates a dynamic experience that remains engaging from first light to final draw.
Construction and presentation are equally impressive, with the closed foot not only serving as a visual statement but also enhancing the cigar's opening complexity. Smoke production is generous, and the flavors remain well-defined throughout the experience.
The finish is where the Minotaur truly leaves its mark. Long, subtle, and refined, the lingering notes of earth, spice, and toasted nuts remain on the palate well after the smoke has ended. Sophisticated without being intimidating, the Felipe Gregorio Minotaur is a cigar designed for enthusiasts who appreciate nuance, complexity, and a blend that continues to reveal new dimensions with every inch.
