Introduction
Erdinger Alkoholfrei is a premium non-alcoholic wheat beer brewed in Erding, Bavaria, Germany. It is produced by Erdinger Weißbräu, a family-owned brewery founded in 1886 that has become the world’s largest wheat beer specialist. Unlike many non-alcoholic beers that are lagers, Erdinger Alkoholfrei is a true top-fermenting wheat beer that has been gently de-alcoholized to retain its traditional character.
Product Description
This brew pours a hazy straw yellow with a tall, impressively creamy white head. The sensory profile is complex and refreshing:
Aroma: Expect classic wheat beer notes of ripe banana and clove, layered with aromatic malt, a hint of brioche, and subtle spicy hops.
Palate: It offers a smooth, medium-bodied mouthfeel with a perfect blend of spicy malt notes and caramel-sweet nuances.
Finish: The taste is rounded off by a hint of fruity acidity and a stimulating bitterness from aroma hops, leading to a clean, balanced finish.
Notably, it is widely marketed as a sporty thirst-quencher because it is isotonic and rich in vitamins such as B9 (folic acid) and B12, which support muscle regeneration and the immune system. It has an ABV of less than 0.5% and contains approximately 25 kcal per 100 ml.
