Emmolo Nurseryman Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 is an exceptionally rich, polished, and beautifully textured Napa Valley red wine crafted by winemaker Jenny Wagner as a heartfelt tribute to her grandfather, Frank Emmolo, whose legendary vine nursery helped shape the history of the region. Sourced from some of Napa Valley's premier, well-draining Cabernet soils and aged with deliberate French oak influence, this deep, saturated purple titan opens with an expressive and highly aromatic bouquet of dark cassis, black cherry compote, and ripe plums, seamlessly layered with complex undercurrents of wild sage, sweet baking spices, vanilla bean, and worn leather. On the palate, it delivers a full-bodied, mouth-filling, and plush framework where a concentrated core of dark forest fruits and mocha is masterfully balanced by a smooth, broad texture and fine, melting tannins. It glides effortlessly into a remarkably long, luxurious finish highlighted by lingering notes of baking cocoa powder, espresso bean, and refined toasted oak.
Food Pairing: Pairs flawlessly with grilled ribeye steak, roasted rosemary lamb chops, or slow-cooked beef short ribs.
