Elena Walch is a leading Alto Adige wine estate that remains in family hands. The winery's philosophy is dedicated to its 'terroir'—the idea that wines must be the individual expression of their soil, climate, and cultivation. Elena Walch, an architect before entering the world of wine, was a pioneer in the Alto Adige wine sector, developing her personal philosophy, experimenting with new methods, and leading the local quality revolution.
Wine Description
This wine presents a bright ruby colour and a delicate hint of cherry on the nose. On the palate, the wine is harmonious and elegant, with naturally mild acidity and fine tannins. A pleasant bitter almond flavour complements the finish. It is an elegant, fruit-forward red wine with good length.
Food Pairing
Suggested pairings include Mediterranean dishes, pasta dishes, and antipasti. It also pairs well with cold cuts and salami, roast meat, grilled meat, and medium-aged cheeses.
