From his time at Drew Estate to his newly created cigar company Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, Steve Saka has developed a knack for creating cigars of an impeccable quality that satisfy both the critics and everyday enthusiasts alike. And there is perhaps no better example of a “Saka cigar” than the Umbagog Toro Toro.
The idea for the Umbagog series emerged out of the Saka’s desire to use highly-prized Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper leaves that were once destined to be used on Saka’s Mi Querida cigars, but didn’t escape Saka’s demanding passion for perfection. These wrappers have been put with Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos to create the Umbagog Toro Toro, a truly delicious 6” x 52 stick.
The hour or so medium-to-full bodied experience that emerges from the Umbagog Toro Toro’s impeccable draw will delight even the most hardest to please cigar aficionado with deeply developed pepper, cedar, licorice and spice flavors that are underscored by a pleasingly thick dark chocolate nuance.
With a richly textured blend of sumptuous tobaccos, a budget-friendly price tag and a name inspired by one of his favorite fishing spots in his home state of New Hampshire, Saka’s Umbagog Toro Toro by Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust is simply a victory for cigar lovers everywhere.
