Door County Coffee Amaretto Flavored Whole Bean is a 10 oz bag of specialty Arabica beans roasted to a medium profile and finished with a natural amaretto flavor for a smooth, almond-liqueur–inspired cup.
Crafted by Door County Coffee & Tea Co. in Wisconsin, this flavored whole-bean coffee blends top-tier Specialty Class 1 Arabica beans with a warm amaretto essence to create a dessert-ready brew without added sugar or dairy. The beans are roasted in small batches using an air-roasting process designed to deliver even development and a consistent medium roast. Packaged as a 10 oz bag, it’s intended for home brewers who enjoy a flavored coffee that pairs easily with a variety of brew methods.
What flavor profile can I expect from amaretto whole beans?
You’ll notice a pronounced almond and toasted-nut character, layered over the natural sweetness and balanced acidity of medium-roasted Arabica. The amaretto flavoring complements the bean’s inherent notes rather than masking them, yielding a dessert-like, fragrant cup.
- Primary notes: almond, toasted nuts, subtle vanilla.
- Body: medium with a warming finish.
- Acidity: mild to balanced, suitable for everyday drinking.
- Sweetness: flavored without added sugar—relies on natural bean sugars and aroma.
How are the beans roasted and why does that matter?
These beans are air-roasted in fluidized bed roasters, a method that suspends beans in hot air for uniform heat exposure. That results in consistent medium roast development across each batch, which preserves origin characteristics while allowing the added amaretto essence to show through clearly.
- Roast style: medium—balanced flavor and aroma.
- Technique: hot air fluidized-bed roasting for evenness.
- Consistency: small-batch, family-roasted for repeatable results.
- Quality: 100% Specialty Class 1 Arabica, top 2% of global beans.
Which brewing methods work best with these whole beans?
These whole beans are versatile: grind to match your preferred brew and you’ll get excellent results in drip coffee makers, French press, pour-over, or cold brew. The medium roast and amaretto flavor adapt well across extraction styles, so you can choose strength and clarity by adjusting grind size and brew time.
- Drip coffee maker: medium grind for balanced extraction.
- French press: coarser grind for fuller body and richer flavor.
- Cold brew: coarse grind and long steep for smooth, chilled notes.
- Pour-over: medium-fine grind for clarity and pronounced aroma.
How much coffee does a 10 oz bag make and how should I store it?
A 10 oz bag typically brews about seven standard 12-cup drip pots, depending on grind and strength preferences. To preserve freshness and the amaretto aroma, keep the beans sealed in a cool, dark place and grind only what you need shortly before brewing.
- Yield: roughly seven 12-cup drip pots (varies by strength).
- Storage: airtight container, away from heat, light, and moisture.
- Grinding: grind immediately before brewing for peak aroma.
- Serving suggestion: enjoy black or with your favorite milk alternative.

It’s ideal for people who appreciate specialty Arabica beans, small-batch roasting, and a consistent medium roast that showcases a flavored profile—perfect for cozy mornings, after-dinner cups, or gifting to someone who enjoys flavored gourmet coffee.
