Domaines Schlumberger Pinot Blanc Les Princes Abbés 2024 is an estate-grown Alsace white from the Schlumberger family’s vineyards around Guebwiller, France. The Les Princes Abbés range honors the Princes Abbots of Murbach, who maintained the local vineyards and helped send Guebwiller wines abroad before the French Revolution. Pinot Blanc for this bottling is drawn from the estate’s Saering and Spiegel Grand Cru vines and parcels in Bux and Bollenberg. The exact 2024 bottle is 750 mL at 12% ABV / 24 proof.
After pneumatic pressing and static racking, the wine is fermented in temperature-controlled tuns for one to four months and matured for seven months on fine lees. The house profile emphasizes a pale yellow color with green reflections, floral notes, citrus and lemon zest, and a fresh, characterful balance. Domaines Schlumberger has farmed its Guebwiller estate since 1810, and the producer positions Les Princes Abbés as its classic range across the principal Alsace grape varieties. Serve this Pinot Blanc chilled alongside Alsatian dishes, fish, or fresh goat’s milk cheese.
