Gérard Raphet Charmes-Chambertin displays a delicate, translucent ruby colour in the glass. The nose is aromatic and surprising in its intensity, offering a complex bouquet of red berries, wild strawberry, and cranberry jam layered with warm baking spices and subtle floral notes. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, supple, and suave, featuring red cherry and cinnamon flavours that carry a deceptively forceful intensity. It is characterized by its elegant, almost creamy texture and a refined finish supported by fine-grained tannins. This 100% Pinot Noir typically has an ABV of 13.5% and was fermented with indigenous yeasts before ageing for 18 months in older French oak barrels, with no more than 15% new wood.
