Originating from Australia in the South Australian region, specifically within the McLaren Vale appellation, Mollydooker Euphoria Sparkling Verdelho represents an exuberant, unique, and creamy expression of sparkling Verdelho. Founded by Sarah and Sparky Marquis, Mollydooker is globally renowned for its bold winemaking philosophy, trademark Marquis Vineyard Watering Programme, and distinctively intense fruit profiles. Sourced from estate vineyards in McLaren Vale planted on sandy soils over clay subsoils, the winemaking philosophy combines late-harvest fruit selection, temperature-controlled primary fermentation, and secondary sparkling production designed to capture vibrant tropical aromatics, mouth-filling richness, and fine effervescence.
Wine Description
The wine presents a clear, bright pale golden straw colour with persistent, fine effervescence and a delicate white mousse. An expressive, highly aromatic bouquet opens with exuberant notes of passion fruit, ripe mango, pineapple, and green apple, interwoven with subtle hints of white peach, citrus blossom, candied ginger, and fresh lime zest. On the palate, it is medium-to-full bodied, lush, and creamy, delivering concentrated flavours of tropical fruit salad, lemon curd, and melon, all supported by a bright, mouthwatering spine of natural acidity. Framed by a rich, effervescent mid-palate and a velvety texture, it concludes with a clean, persistent finish marked by lingering passion fruit, crisp citrus, and a refreshing mineral lift. Composed of 100% Verdelho, this release offers an optimal drinking window of 1–3 years from release. Stylistically, it combines McLaren Vale's sunshine intensity and tropical fruit generosity with uplifting sparkling vitality.
