Domaine Ferret Pouilly-Fuisse Hors Classe 1er Cru Tournant De Pouilly
Domaine Ferret has produced Chardonnay in Pouilly-Fuisse since 1840, now under the ownership of Maison Louis Jadot. This cuvée comes from a Premier Cru vineyard planted between 1955 and 1964 in the Fuissé amphitheatre.
The site is known for chalky clay soils that give the wine its mineral character. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, 25% new, followed by ageing on lees in stainless steel for 9 months. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration.
- Opens with lime leaf, white blossom and crushed stone on the nose.
- The palate shows ripe citrus, almond and a savoury lees character balanced by taut acidity.
- Finishes long and mineral, with chalky grip and a subtle note of hazelnut.
Enjoy this exceptional white wine with creamy chicken dishes, scallop ravioli or aged Comté.
