Del Bac Classic Single Malt Whiskey is the signature expression from Hamilton Distillers that put Arizona whiskey on the map. This 750ml bottle showcases the distillery's pioneering use of mesquite-smoked barley, creating a distinctly Southwestern take on single malt that's both familiar and entirely unique.
The Classic expression strikes a perfect balance between traditional single malt craftsmanship and bold desert innovation. Mesquite smoke—gentler and sweeter than peat—infuses the whiskey with layers of complexity that complement rather than overwhelm the rich malt character. Aged in the extreme temperature swings of the Arizona high desert, this whiskey develops depth and maturity that belies its years.
Tasting Notes:
Gentle mesquite smoke greets the nose, followed by notes of caramel, vanilla, and toasted grain. The palate reveals sweet malt, hints of honey and butterscotch, with the signature mesquite adding earthy, slightly sweet smoke throughout. The finish is long and warming, with lingering smoke and subtle spice.
Perfect for:
Whiskey adventurers seeking something beyond traditional Scotch or bourbon, or anyone curious about the emerging American single malt category. Enjoy neat to appreciate the unique mesquite character, or use in cocktails for a Southwestern twist on classics.
