Introduction:
Burrowing Owl Athene is a bold, full-bodied, and age-worthy red blend that brings together intensity, structure, and complex character. This richly expressive wine is crafted to impress both now and for years to come.
Tasting Notes:
-
Nose: Deep and aromatic, featuring blackberry, cassis, and a layered mix of shortbread, paprika, black pepper, with savory hints of bacon, game meat, leather, dried thyme, and potpourri.
-
Palate: Dry and rich, with powerful flavours of dark berries, dried fruit, and earthy spice. The structure is defined by firm tannins and crisp acidity, giving the wine excellent balance and aging potential.
