Bruichladdich Port Charlotte Scottish Barley Heavily Peated is a bold, artisanal Islay single malt Scotch whisky crafted exclusively from 100% Scottish barley. Peated to 40 PPM and trickle-distilled through tall, narrow-necked stills, this non-chill filtered expression is matured in American oak and French wine casks on the shores of Loch Indaal, delivering a rich fusion of vibrant floral smoke, maritime salt spray, and rich oak sweetness.
Food Pairing: Smoked brisket, grilled oysters, dark chocolate desserts, blue cheese, or barbecue ribs.
Tasting Notes : Light pale gold appearance with a rich, creamy, and oily body on the palate.
Nose : Earthy peat smoke, sweet malted barley, vanilla fudge, sea salt, lemon curd, and subtle floral heather.
Palate : Smooth and rich with layers of barbecue smoke, vanilla custard, salted caramel, coconut, citrus peel, and warm oak spice.
Finish : Long, warming, and smoky with lingering dry oak, sweet barley, and gentle marine salt.
Serve : Serve neat, with a few drops of pure spring water in a Glencairn glass, or over a large ice sphere.
