Barone Ricasoli is a historic producer from Italy, located in the Chianti region of Tuscany. The winery is widely recognized as the oldest in Italy, with the Ricasoli family linked to Brolio Castle since 1141. Baron Bettino Ricasoli is famously credited with developing the original formula for Chianti wine in 1872, a legacy that continues today through a focus on sustainable vineyard practices and innovative winemaking.
Wine Description
This vibrant red wine displays a bright ruby red colour in the glass. The nose is fragrant and pleasant, offering aromas of red cherry, ripe raspberry, and wild strawberry, accompanied by delicate hints of violet, lavender, and balsamic notes. On the palate, it is medium bodied and beautifully balanced, featuring juicy flavours of fresh plum and cherry skin supported by a lively line of acidity and velvety, fine tannins.
