Highly limited and chosen by Wine Enthusiast as #7 in “Top 100 Enthusiast Wines of the World” 95 Points “The goal for this cabernet is simple – To make wine that expresses all that Paso has to offer, with its pastoral beauty, perfect soils, maritime climate and limitless possibility.” – Austin Hope, Owner/ Winemaker Deep ruby in colour, the 2019 Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon expresses aromas of fresh black cur-rants and cherries accompanied by subtle smoky notes and dried spices. On the palate, this lavish powerful wine is layered with juicy blackberry, ripe cherry, vanilla bean and brown butter. It’s full bodied and rich, balanced by a touch of bright acidity and firm polished tannins.
Product Description
The Hope family has been farming in Paso Robles for more than 30 years. Initially plantings were orchards of apples as well as grapes. Little did they know that the rolling, oak-studded terrain of Paso Robles would one day become a viticultural terroir of significance and one of the top winegrowing regions for quality red wine within the Central Coast. The apple orchards are all now all gone allowing the Hopes to concentrate their efforts on producing wines of superb character.
Tasting Notes
Much vaunted powerful and complex Californian wine .
