Barley grown in Colorado and neighboring states forms the entire grain bill for Golden Moon Triple, with malting handled in Golden, Colorado. The mashing, fermentation, and distillation all happen at Golden Moon Distillery, where the spirit runs through the still three times in the Irish tradition before settling into New American Oak casks.
At 92 proof, or 46% ABV, the nose leans warm, sweet, and malty in the manner of lighter Irish whiskeys. The palate carries that malt sweetness alongside faint caramel and candy tones, with only a small amount of heat and toasted oak closing out the finish. A 750 ml bottling that reflects Colorado craft distilling.
