The Aladino 85th Anniversario Reserva is a special edition Honduran cigar created by Julio R. Eiroa and the JRE Tobacco Co. to celebrate Julio’s 85th birthday and his legendary career as one of the most respected blenders in the cigar industry. While the Aladino brand is famous for its authentic Corojo blends, this commemorative release takes a different path by featuring rare Pinareño Cuban-seed tobacco grown in Honduras. Known for its delicate nature and limited yields, Pinareño tobacco adds elegance and nuance, delivering a smooth medium-mild profile with refined complexity.
This cigar is a true Honduran puro, crafted with Honduran wrapper, binder, and long-filler tobaccos grown in the Jamastran Valley. The blend offers a balanced and flavorful smoking experience with subtle notes of cedar, cream, toasted nuts, light spice, and soft sweetness, making it approachable while still showcasing the depth that the Eiroa family is known for. The presentation is equally memorable, featuring a striking yellow box adorned with a 1961 Buick once owned by Julio Eiroa, symbolizing both tradition and personal legacy.
Highly regarded by critics, the Aladino 85th Anniversario Reserva earned an impressive 93-point rating and was named #25 Cigar of 2025 by Cigar Aficionado. With its rare tobacco, celebratory story, and expertly balanced flavor profile, this limited release stands as a fitting tribute to one of the true masters of premium cigar blending.
