Al Ameed Gourmet Turkish Ground Coffee with Cardamom is a lightly roasted, aromatic 8oz blend that combines bright acidity, delicate summer-fruit notes and roasted cardamom for a subtly spiced cup.
This single 226.5g (8oz) bag presents a light-roast Turkish grind crafted to deliver a fragrant, refreshing coffee experience. The roast emphasizes clarity and a lively acidity, carrying hints of floral aroma and ripe, summery fruit; roasted cardamom brings an uplift of warm, citrusy spice without overwhelming the bean’s delicate profile. Ground to a texture suited for traditional Turkish brewing or fine-filter preparations, this blend is designed for those who prefer a refined, nuanced cup rather than heavy, dark flavors.
How does this coffee taste and smell?
The flavor is clean and lively: bright acidity upfront, followed by subtle summer-fruit notes and a lingering floral character. Roasted cardamom is integrated into the roast so the spice comes through as a refreshing accent rather than a dominant flavor.
- Light-roast clarity with gentle sweetness and acidity
- Notes of summer fruit—think berries and stone fruit hints
- Floral aromatics that lift the cup’s fragrance
- Roasted cardamom adds warm, citrusy spice tones
What brewing methods work best with this ground Turkish coffee?
This grind is optimized for traditional cezve/ibrik preparation but adapts well to other fine-brew techniques. Use low-to-medium heat and short brewing cycles for cezve; it can also be used in fine pour-over cones or immersion methods with careful filtering to manage the fine particles.
- Traditional cezve/ibrik for authentic Turkish-style cups
- Fine pour-over with a paper filter to reduce sediment
- Short immersion methods with a very fine filter to capture clarity
- Cold brew is possible but expect a different, more mellow profile
How should I store and measure this 8oz bag?
Keep the bag sealed and stored in a cool, dark place to preserve aroma and acidity. For consistent results, weigh coffee by grams: roughly 7–8 g per 60 ml (2 fl oz) for traditional Turkish servings, adjusting strength to taste.
- Reseal after each use to limit air exposure
- Store out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources
- Use about 7–8 g coffee per small Turkish cup as a starting point
- Finish bag within weeks for peak freshness; grind is already prepared
What food pairings complement this light, spiced coffee?
The coffee’s bright acidity and cardamom lift pair well with mildly sweet pastries and light cheeses. Think buttery cookies, nut-based desserts, or fruit-forward pastries that echo the coffee’s summer-fruit and floral notes.
- Shortbreads, butter cookies, or semolina-based sweets
- Fresh fruit or tart pastries to match bright acidity
- Mild cheeses like ricotta or labneh for contrast
- Nuts and honey to enhance the roasted-cardamom warmth
Who is this for: Al Ameed Gourmet Turkish Ground Coffee with Cardamom suits coffee lovers seeking a lighter, aromatic cup with a subtle spice character. It’s ideal for those who enjoy traditional Turkish brewing or anyone wanting a finely ground coffee that highlights floral and fruity notes rather than heavy roast-bitter flavors. If you prefer bright, nuanced coffee with a hint of warm spice and a fragrant aroma, this 8oz bag offers a curated, convenient option.
