Privada Storytelling
Dias De Gloria is AJ Fernandez looking back at the golden era of Cuban cigar making and then proving he can capture that feeling on Nicaraguan soil. Think of it as a memory brought to life, a tribute rolled by a man obsessed with honoring the craft while carving his own legend. This box pressed toro carries the gravitas of history but feels unmistakably modern, like an old vinyl remastered with richer tones and deeper warmth.
Light it and you feel that sense of pride AJ is known for. The blend is nostalgic without imitating anything. Instead, it channels that classic Cuban balance of aroma, body, and elegance, but through the lens of rich Nicaraguan soils that have become AJ’s signature playground. Dias De Gloria smokes like a tribute to the past and a victory lap for the present.
Flavor Journey
It opens with warm cedar and a soft thread of sweetness that settles the palate quickly. Toasted nuts enter early, followed by baking spice that deepens the profile without overwhelming its smoothness. The box press helps it burn cool and slow, allowing the creamy earth notes to unfold naturally. The second half becomes richer and slightly more savory, ending in a refined finish that lingers with sweet spice and clean wood.
Why It Belongs in Privada
This cigar is a lesson in legacy and execution, crafted by one of the most disciplined minds in the industry. It represents boutique attitude at large scale precision, making it a bridge between old world romance and modern Nicaraguan power. Dias De Gloria belongs in Privada because it tells a story worth savoring and reminds collectors why AJ Fernandez is one of the most respected names of this era.
Production Notes
Built entirely from AJ’s own aged Nicaraguan tobaccos, including leaf from Estelí, Condega, and Ometepe. The tobaccos are matured extensively before rolling, allowing the blend to achieve its signature smooth, rounded profile. Box pressing enhances combustion and brings the flavors together in a balanced, slow burn.
