A magnificent and majestic Southern Italian red wine, often referred to as the "Barolo of the South." It opens with an expansive, complex bouquet of dark cherries, dried plums, and wild blackberries, beautifully interwoven with sophisticated notes of leather, tobacco, licorice, and dark cocoa. On the palate, it exhibits a massive, full-bodied texture with powerful, well-structured tannins and an imposing spine of fresh acidity. The finish is incredibly persistent, dry, and elegant, leaving a deep impression of dark fruit and earthy spices.
Food Pairing: Slow-braised beef, wild boar ragu, roasted venison, and mature, sharp cheeses like Pecorino Stagionato.
