Keep a reliable tomato base on your pantry shelf: this 13-ounce jar of finely ground tomato powder is designed for cooks who want consistent flavor, less waste and faster prep. Made from premium tomatoes and milled for easy rehydration, it blends smoothly into liquids and dry mixes alike. Whether you need a quick tomato sauce, an enhancer for broths, or a seasoning boost for rubs and dressings, this product provides a versatile tomato backbone for everyday cooking.
How do I use Zashier Tomato Powder to make sauce quickly?
Transform the powder into a tomato sauce in minutes by combining it with water and gently simmering to thicken. It recreates the taste and color of cooked tomatoes without peeling or chopping, and you can tweak thickness and intensity to match recipes.
- Basic sauce: mix 3–4 tbsp powder with 1 cup water; simmer 5–7 minutes.
- Adjust consistency by adding more water for thinner sauce or more powder for richness.
- Add aromatics—garlic, onion, herbs—during simmering for fuller flavor.
What are the best ways to add tomato flavor to soups, stews, and chilis?
Stir a measured amount of tomato powder directly into warm liquids near the end of cooking to preserve brightness, or add earlier for deeper, melded flavor. It acts like a tomato bouillon—intensifying savory notes without extra moisture.
- Start with 1–2 teaspoons per serving, then taste and adjust.
- Use in dry rubs and seasoning blends for grilled or roasted dishes.
- Sprinkle into vegetable sautés to build an umami tomato base.
Can Zashier Tomato Powder replace fresh tomatoes and tomato paste?
Yes—it's formulated as a cooking-friendly alternative to fresh tomatoes, sauces and paste when convenience or storage is a priority. While not a one-to-one textural replacement for whole tomatoes, it offers concentrated flavor and color for recipes that rely on tomato taste.
- Replace jarred paste by reconstituting to the desired thickness.
- Use where tomato flavor is needed without added liquid volume.
- Great for batch cooking, meal kits and pantry-ready recipes.
How much product comes in the package and who benefits most from it?
